It is very useful in implant planning and surgery and in many other situations.

Fry Bread House Phoenix, Arizona

What comes out of the simplest ingredients is what makes The Fry Bread House so famous. Sometimes you need something hot, starchy, and high in sodium. But instead of sliding behind the wheel and sitting in the sad, emissions-pooping drive-thru at some nearby fast-food joint, roll up to The Hudson Eatery & Bar in central Tempe. This newer neighborhood spot serves quality comfort food and bourbon, but the fries are a major bright spot.

Best Latin American Restaurant

For some, restaurants like The Fry Bread House can offer a sanctuary free from domestic violence and other dangerous situations at home. “Some people have family problems and they don’t want to stay home all day,” Miller says. The state of Arizona limited restaurants to takeout, delivery, and drive-thru service in March. Fry bread’s origins lie in land seizures, forced marches, and federal rations. Made with white flour and deep fried in shortening, it has often been the subject of controversy. But at The Fry Bread House, Sandra serves it alongside older traditional foods, such as its usually whole-grain precursor ceme’t (which goes by many names).

O.J. Simpson, whose rise and fall from American football hero to murder suspect to prison inmate fueled a public drama that obsessed the nation, has died. Debts and charges of an estate must be paid out in a particular order and, under Nevada law, the Goldmans’ claim would, in theory, be disbursed after first paying the expenses of administering Simpson’s estate and any medical and funeral costs. The Goldman family waged a nearly 30-year battle with O.J. Simpson’s death last week opened a new door for the families to finally collect.

PHOENIX — Boiling pots of stew, fryers of hot oil and piles of crispy, golden fry bread make up the landscape of one of Phoenix's most famous Native American restaurants. For the better part of a decade now, Gio Osso has plated some of the Valley's most progressive Italian food. Osso hews close to the ageless traditions of Naples, birthplace of pizza, including the signature puffy crust, micro-thin center, San Marzano tomatoes, and cooking each pie at volcanic heat. Toppings, though, are where Osso truly separates from the pack. He isn't afraid to do taleggio, truffle, trumpet mushrooms, and arugula.

Bison ribs are cured for 24 hours before they’re glazed with a sweet berry barbecue sauce at Tocabe in Denver. However, mainstream understanding of Native American cuisine hasn’t expanded much further than that until recent years, as Indigenous chefs across the country have started to increasingly spotlight Native foods and recipes.

McConnell took those childhood memories and channeled them into Off the Rez, a food truck that launched more than a decade ago and has since settled into a brick-and-mortar Native American restaurant at the Burke Museum of Natural History and Culture. Fry bread has a conflicted legacy in Native Nations of the American Southwest. People like the Tohono O’odham didn’t traditionally eat white wheat flour and shortening, and there’s an active debate over when and how fry bread entered their diet. One story traces the origins of the bread to the U.S. government’s forced migration of Navajo people from Fort Defiance, in what is now Arizona, to Bosque Redondo, in what is now New Mexico. In this version, fry bread was a creative use of unhealthy government rations of flour and lard. Owamni by the Sioux Chef—an Indigenous, full-service restaurant in the Minneapolis–St.

Barbecue is done in the Central Texas style, meaning beef-centric with a minimal rub and mild smoke to let the greatness of the meat shine. Even the smoked turkey is uncommonly juicy, a solid 10/10. We're not sure what Stacy and company are putting into the breading of their juicy deep-fried hunks of fowl, but we don't really care, so long as they keep doing it.

Renovated in 2019, the Red Oak Steakhouse features a well-lit cabinet in which dry-aged beef hangs—diners can choose their cut, which is then placed on a cherry-wood-fired grill and cooked to their preference. Even better, all the hormone-free beef—and many of the ingredients served at the restaurant—were raised on-site, part of the Quapaw Nation’s commitment to centuries-old Native connections with the land. There's chili, beef stew, menudo, posole, and green chili stew... The star of the show is the simplest thing on the menu; the fry bread.

Nevertheless, many Native people travel back to the reservations on their time off. For instance, The Fry Bread House employee Steven Velasco drives to the Tohono O’odham reservation some days off to visit his loved ones; and he travels through the desert to clean his mom’s grave. Other employees go north to the Navajo Nation on free days.

This fast-casual spot in Denver updates traditional recipes from co-owner Ben Jacobs’s grandmother, a tribal member of the Osage Nation. Plus, it’s Denver’s only “American Indian owned and operated” restaurant. “We prioritize purchasing from Indigenous producers—first locally, and then nationally—and then we support our local food system as much as we can,” Sherman told AFAR in a 2022 interview. To this day, Richard Perry's not even sure his mother even applied for consideration. Flour, lard, salt, and baking powder; mix it, roll it, stretch it out and toss it in hot oil.

It’s too bad you don’t live in a city where you can drive up and down a single street that’s chockablock with dining choices, considering your options before tucking in for a really swell repast. “If we want to make a pot of frybread and a bunch of beans, it takes a while,” Miller says. You have families that aren’t in the same homes.” Having squash burros and red chile hot at a welcoming eatery down the road opens a short avenue to a traditional lunch or dinner.

The duo offer seasonal menus based on ancestral recipes and pre-Columbian times (there’s no gluten, dairy, pork, legumes, or alcohol to be found) and sourced entirely from the Bay Area. Guests can look forward to dishes like tan oak acorn bisque, crispy duck breast seasoned with bay laurel, and desserts like yerba buena sorbet. Finding burnt ends — the uneven, barky ends lopped off a brisket — on local barbecue menus isn't easy. But Michael Sloan's Phat Turtle BBQ does Kansas City-style barbecue; burnt ends are a must. Phat Turtle's have a heavy smoke and the long, unholy dissolve of wildly fatty slow-cooked meat. You can order them on a plate or platter, caramelized with barbecue sauce for a sweet starter, or chunky and spilling from the bun of a happily sloppy sandwich.

Descriptive Research Designs: Types, Examples & Methods

research design for descriptive research

It’s also possible to use a mixed methods design that integrates aspects of both approaches. By combining qualitative and quantitative insights, you can gain a more complete picture of the problem you’re studying and strengthen the credibility of your conclusions. Using valid and reliable data collection methods is important to ensure that the data collected is accurate and can be used to answer the research question. Researchers should choose methods that are appropriate for the study and that can be administered consistently and systematically. Case study research is a type of descriptive research that focuses on a single individual, group, or event. It involves collecting detailed information on the subject through a variety of methods, including interviews, observations, and examination of documents.

Why Use Voxco for Descriptive Research Design?

One of the most prominent characteristics of descriptive research is that, unlike in experimental research, the variables are not controlled or manipulated. Descriptive research involves the collection of quantifiable and systematic data that can be used for the statistical analysis of the research problem. However, before identifying why a phenomenon occurred, it is integral to answer other questions first. You need to have answers to the “what,” “when,” “how,” and “where” before you can understand the “why.” This is where descriptive research comes in.

Data Collection and Data Sources

A descriptive research study is a type of observational research and is used for exploring and documenting the nature and scope of a problem, identifying its trends and patterns, and providing a basis for subsequent research. The outcome of a descriptive study is helpful in making decisions, developing policies, and planning social programs. Overall, Voxco survey software is an effective tool for conducting descriptive research design, as it provides a streamlined and efficient way to gather, measure, and analyze survey data.

What is descriptive research design?

However, we will be restricting ourselves to only 3 distinct examples in this article. Correlative surveys are used to determine whether the relationship between 2 variables is positive, negative, or neutral. That is, if 2 variables say X and Y are directly proportional, inversely proportional or are not related to each other.

The observational method allows researchers to collect data based on their view of the behaviour and characteristics of the respondent, with the respondents themselves not directly having an input. It is often used in market research, psychology, and some other social science research to understand human behaviour. Initially, although the year 2014 was specifically requested, 95 articles wereidentified (due to ahead of print/Epub) and exported into the EndNote program. Threeduplicate publications were removed and the 20 articles with final publication dates of2015 were also excluded. The remaining 72 articles were then screened by examining titles, abstracts, and full-texts. Based on our inclusion criteria, 15 (of 72) were then excludedbecause QD or QD design/study was not identified in the main text.

Methods

It allows the researcher to study and describe the distribution of one or more variables, without regard to any causal or other hypotheses. This article discusses the subtypes of descriptive study design, and their strengths and limitations. Researchers can conduct various investigations and collect multiple types of data (quantitative and qualitative) using surveys with diverse designs. Descriptive design is referred to in the literature by other labels including generic, general, basic, traditional, interpretive, and pragmatic. Descriptive design as an acceptable research design for dissertation and other robust scholarly research has received varying degrees of acceptance within the academic community.

The information gathered through descriptive research can serve as a baseline for future research and provide a foundation for further studies. Let us look at a study that was aimed to assess the prevalence of myopia among Indian children.[7] In this study, trained health workers visited schools in Delhi and tested visual acuity in all children studying in classes 1–9. Of the 9884 children screened, 1297 (13.1%) had myopia (defined as spherical refractive error of −0.50 diopters (D) or worse in either or both eyes), and the mean myopic error was −1.86 ± 1.4 D.

In the subsequent sections, we will be explaining what descriptive research means, its types, examples, and data collection methods. A key component of the descriptive research method is that it uses random variables that are not controlled by the researchers. This is because descriptive research aims to understand the natural behavior of the research subject. For example you could use descriptive research to understand fashion trends in a given city when planning your clothing collection for the year. Using descriptive research you can conduct in depth analysis on the demographic makeup of your target area and use the data analysis to establish buying patterns.

One example found in our review is that Adams et al. (2014) explored family members’ responses to nursingcommunication strategies for patients in intensive care units (ICUs). In this study, researchers conducted interviews with family members, observed interactions betweenhealthcare providers, patients, and family members in ICUs, attended ICU rounds and familymeetings, and took field notes about their observations and reflections. Accordingly, thevariability in methods provided Adams and colleagues(2014) with many different aspects of data that were then used to complementparticipants’ interviews (i.e., data triangulation). The findings showed patients’ socioeconomic constraints were important challenges that influence health professionals’ engagement, and provision of MDR-TB prevention and management services.

It aims to provide an accurate and objective representation of the subject of study. Causal research, on the other hand, seeks to determine cause-and-effect relationships between variables. It aims to point out the factors that influence or cause a particular result or behavior. Causal research involves manipulating variables, controlling conditions or a subgroup, and observing the resulting effects. The primary objective of causal research is to establish a cause-effect relationship and provide insights into why certain phenomena happen the way they do.

research design for descriptive research

Selecting a representative sample is important to ensure that the findings of the study are generalizable to the population being studied. Researchers should use a sampling method that provides a random and representative sample of the population. Descriptive research is non-experimental, meaning that the researcher does not manipulate variables or control conditions. The researcher simply observes and collects data on the population or phenomenon being studied. Descriptive research studies a particular population or sample that is representative of the larger population being studied. Furthermore, sampling methods can include convenience, stratified, or random sampling.

This approach entails carefully examining a particular group, person, or event over time. You can learn something new about the study topic by using a small group to better understand the dynamics of the entire group. It enables researchers to precisely and methodically describe a population, circumstance, or phenomenon. To conduct effective research, you need to know a scenario’s or target population’s who, what, and where. Obtaining enough knowledge about the research topic is an important component of research. The main goal is to observe and catalog all the variables and conditions that affect the phenomenon.

For example, if you are researching the opinions of students in your university, you could survey a sample of 100 students. You should anonymise and safeguard any sensitive data, and make sure it’s backed up regularly. As well as choosing an appropriate sampling method, you need a concrete plan for how you’ll actually contact and recruit your selected sample. Using secondary data can expand the scope of your research, as you may be able to access much larger and more varied samples than you could collect yourself. There are many other ways you might collect data depending on your field and topic. The more precisely you define your population, the easier it will be to gather a representative sample.

Accordingly, participants encountered numerous gaps that restricted their interactions with TB/MDR-TB patients. As to our knowledge, patients’ perceived fear of discrimination was not documented whether it had direct negative impact on reducing providers’ engagement. Therefore, patients’ awareness creation is an important responsibility that needs to be addressed by the community health development army, health extension workers, all other healthcare providers and stakeholder for better MDR-TB services and patient outcomes.

The star attraction, however, is the villa’s massive outdoor space, where groups can swim in the pool and relax on sun beds or in a pillowed lounge area. The Airbnb is steps away from Santa Teresa’s beaches, surf shops, yoga studios and restaurants, making it easy to pop out for drinks, dinner or adventures. Many yurt builders in colder climates opt to cover the roof with a reflective thermal layer to maintain the heat within the space before adding the roof, but the process is the same for both.

If connecting to a septic system is not feasible, composting toilets offer an eco-friendly alternative. This prevents altering the yurt’s structural integrity and maintains a seamless aesthetic. Choose an entry point for your electrical source, generally where the platform meets the lattice wall, to minimize exposure. Positioning windows and skylights enhances natural light and provides ventilation. Skylights should be carefully placed around the yurt’s crown to maximize the entry of sunlight without compromising the structural integrity.

The crew on the ground can unfold material until it’s folded in half and covers half the yurt. Using a rope attached to the center of the top-most folded layer, pull the roofing material to the center of the roof. Toss the rope to someone on the ground so they can continue to pull until the roofing material covers the entire structure. Center the material and attach it to the structure with the included hardware. USA’s leading Yurt Company Yurtspaces is the perfect destination for Authentic, Luxurious, and Custom-designed Yurts.

How To: Plane a Door

This design gives the yurt attachment points all around the perimeter. It also prevents rain and snow from collecting and running under the yurt. Depending on the size, the platform might require concrete footings, which will likely require permits and inspections. Tools and materials, including a ladder, hammer, drill, and framing lumber, also may be needed. Our yurts give you the stability of a vacation cabin but with much less cost, and the flexibility of a tent but with much stronger build.A yurt offers endless customization options. To shield your yurt from the elements, the outer cover must be robust and well-fitted.

This flexibility enables the space to adapt to various needs and occasions. Keep in mind the orientation of your yurt; you might want to align the door with the best view or maximum sunlight. Each step ensures the platform not only supports the weight of your yurt but also contributes to its comfort and durability. For drainage, grade the land so that it slopes slightly away from where your yurt will sit.

Finally, secure the base of the wall cover to the platform, typically with a heavy-duty band that might be screwed or bolted into place, achieving a tight seal that blocks drafts and pests. Always double-check the tightness and condition of the cover, as this is your yurt’s primary defense against weather. Effective insulation is vital for creating a comfortable living environment within your yurt, regardless of the season. Wool or hemp batting, natural and breathable materials, are excellent for maintaining a stable interior temperature without trapping moisture. Begin by laying out the lattice sections at your chosen location, ensuring they align with the platform’s perimeter. Typically made of crisscrossed wooden slats, these lattice pieces are designed to expand like an accordion, providing structural support and flexibility.

Although different cultures call them different names, the meaning of the words mostly stays the same, translating to ‘home’, ‘homeland’, or ‘kinsman’ in English. Traditionally, they were used by nomadic tribes and herders across Central Asia, designed to easily dismantle when a community needed to move from one place to another. Yurts are one of the oldest forms of shelter used by ancient civilizations that are still relevant today-with some deviations. One of the biggest benefits of a yurt is that it isn’t permanent, and you aren’t stuck in one space for the long haul. Granted, you can get yurts with more permanent structures, but they’re extremely easy to dismantle and move for the most part.

Many people have enjoyed taking on the minimalist lifestyle by moving into tiny houses. In my opinion, our lives would be a lot less stressful if we all took a leaf out of this book. If you’ve ever looked at buying a home, then you’ll know how utterly ridiculous the housing market is. Modern yurts are incredibly cost-effective, coming in at a fraction of the price of a traditional brick home. A wooden yurt also helps with the portability of this type of dwelling. Although they may seem temporary, these homes were the Mongolians’ permanent dwellings; therefore, they needed to be sturdy, weatherproof, and durable.

While pendant lighting in a living room should be used with caution (overhead fittings used alone will make the space feel soulless and bland), they should definitely be chosen and positioned for maximum effect. Pick a piece you can move around the room, too, for practicality more than anything else, but also because moving furniture around can be an easy way to keep a space feeling fresh. One up from wallpaper, a mural will create even more of a living room feature wall idea. Yes we know, murals don't always get the best rap but you can find some really cool ones that will add style to your room rather than a wall of snowy mountains or a New York skyline. We love the repetition of green and pink in this lounge decor as it draws the eye across the room, and, the colors work perfectly together, dispelling the myth that pink and green should never be seen. 'Having spent prolonged periods of time at home with the whole family, we've certainly seen a shift away from occasional seating, to much more expansive comfort.

Rethink Window Treatments

Layering your rugs is a modern living room idea that shouldn't be overlooked. As shown, if you want a grounding feel, opt for beige living room ideas. They come with great color choices like stone, taupe, tan, ecru, and fawn. These versatile, earthy shades will create a harmonious and relaxing space. Make your living space feel bigger by adding in a wall of mirrors. James Design Group utilizes classic picture molding as frames for the mirrors, opening up the living room and bouncing light around.

Choose statement lighting

Go bold with saturated, ripe shades on walls and furniture, or for a gentler, simmering approach, pepper a neutral foundation with zesty accents across soft accessories, decorative homeware, and wall art. Defined by neutral color palettes, raw materials, clean lines and minimalism, Japandi style is a great way to create a tranquil living room, like this one from OWIU Design. This 700-square-foot apartment in Italy already featured great bones and plenty of light—it just needed some spatial differentiation. Here architect and furniture designer Alessandro Preda designed a sheet-rock partition to conceal the bed. She stopped short of extending it to the ceiling to allow the sunshine to permeate.

Consider Neutral Furniture and Accessories

Base your color scheme on artwork collected from your travels, or brighten a neutral space with textile products sourced from artists worldwide. Create a well-traveled look by incorporating international fabric patterns, folk art furnishings, handcrafted collectibles, and vacation keepsakes. Contemporary colors alongside more traditional pieces create a memorable living room. Use a bright rug and neutral furniture to ground the space without distracting from the decorative elements. The abstract art piece, bright yellow stool, and silver light fixture give the space a decidedly modern feel.

It'll draw the eye upward is a great way to avoid painting your living room walls. The midcentury modern living room in Ashley Maddox's Waco, Texas, home is one to emulate if you're trying to lean into the aesthetic. It captures the 1950s charm with streamlined furniture, sculptural light fixtures, and geometric accessories. Though this living room is neutral, adding a statement chair makes a major statement.

Design Styles

Instead of introducing an additional color, bring in a metallic accent, such as this brass-base coffee table. A wall of black built-ins provides lots of functional hidden storage as well as plenty of display surfaces. Crisp white walls, marble table tops, and a linen sectional add stark contrast and timeless elegance. For a practical and visually appealing living room idea, consider the size, shape, and style of the space and its primary function when deciding on the layout. The light and uncluttered base makes the few simple decor pieces shine in this farmhouse-inspired space. A refined palette or soft colors and pared-back style give this modern family living area by interior designer Cortney Bishop its bright, uncluttered feel.

However, if your living room is North facing and therefore might lack natural light you will want to warm up the space with warmer tones and avoid anything too cool-toned. Along with the masterful layering that adds so much coziness to this small living room, the mural also works towards adding texture. Murals are also a fab option if you are decorating a rented home because you can choose to hang a mural rather than paste it permanently to your wall.

Create Visually-Pleasing Storage Spaces

Use thrifted frames and reupholstered furniture to turn found elements into a homey living space that fits your style. Life's always a beach when you kick back in a living room that nods to the sea, sand, and sky. Here, you can see how just a few hues—white, aqua, navy, silver, and seashell pink—fashion a cottage-charming view in this seashore-inspired retreat. The repetition of driftwood finishes, colors, shine, and collections provides a peaceful rhythm, making way for statement-piece pendant lights and a chandelier. Combine vintage style with modern elements by using pieces purchased from consignment stores and antique shops. Reupholstered cushions with modern fabrics update this eclectic living room with an interplay of pattern and color.

Embrace transitional design by mixing eras

Homey, adding in those warm materials like woods and leather is going to give a more rustic vibe while still feeling modern. An eclectic living room can be modern too, so don't be afraid to mix and match furniture from all different eras and all different styles. Note how in this living room the statement Mid-century modern chairs and statement rug work with the more traditional sofas. One way to upgrade a seventies-style boho living room is to add not one, but two (or more) living room rug ideas.

And of course, no contemporary scheme would be complete without geometric details. So perhaps incorporate cushions with a decorative motif and a Berber-style rug with a striking pattern. If you're feeling overwhelmed, check out these fabulous living room storage ideas to hide away your clutter in style. In this coastal home, a plush velvet sofa provides a prime spot for relaxing with a cocktail after a day at the beach. White walls, a flat-weave rug, and cool kitchen tones provide an airy contrast. The traditional elements of this room—original hardwoods, an elaborate mantel, ornate crown molding—are paired with rich textiles, slim-line furniture, and color-coordinated styled shelves.

The furniture in this neutral space centers around the eye-catching wood coffee table that perfectly contrasts the white brick fireplace. Other elements throughout the room feature the same color palette and add texture for a cohesive look. Layering is a clever living room idea to make the space look more interesting and to give it a comfortable, lived-in feel. Here, a textured cream area rug (similar to this Better Homes & Gardens Araches Hi Low Area Rug, $96, Walmart) layered over a natural jute rug forms a soft base for the modern living room.

This involves growing your home over time as you can afford to meet the challenges to build more space as you earn and expand. Yurt can be built permanently using wooden materials instead of fabric or canvas. A permanent yurt is made out of wood, unlike the collapsible one that is made out of fabric.

The wooden poles of the roof are steamed and bent before they are attached to the crown. This gives bentwood yurts a taller and steeper, almost conical roof. These types of yurts are also sometimes referred to as Turkic yurts. Perched on the cliffs of Costa Ballena, this well-appointed yurt comes with one of the dreamiest views in Costa Rica—and an outdoor tub for two. Even the most intrepid explorers will want to take a day or two to soak up the charms on site, including a path that leads to a semi-private beach and waterfall.

Always consult a professional electrician or plumber to ensure compliance with local codes and to maintain safety throughout your yurt home. For added insulation, reflective foil or felt liners can be placed beneath the cover, increasing energy efficiency and comfort. Small but mighty, the 12-Wall Yurt-Cabin is an ideal addition to your back yard as a home office or extra room for a mother-in-law suite or granny flat. Also, due to its compact design, the 12-Wall Yurt-Cabin has the highest snow load capabilities of all of the models, making it ideal for a backcountry hut or ski resort rental shop. If you are looking for the best yurts for sale on the market today, look no further.

Many yurt dwellers install an additional thermal barrier along the interior of the roof to maximize heat retention. Before launching into the door frame setup, ensure your platform is level and stable as any discrepancies might affect the door operation. Measure carefully, centering the frame on the platform to distribute weight and tension evenly. A slight elevation is desirable for water drainage, a critical aspect to avoid flooding.

Quality Montana-made Yurts for Sale

Begin by draping the roof cover over the frame, ensuring it’s evenly distributed before securing the edges. High-quality covers are typically made from durable, waterproof, and UV-resistant fabrics like polyester or canvas to withstand various weather conditions. When insulating the walls, start from the bottom and work your way up to ensure a snug fit against the lattice framework.

This not only adds a decorative touch but also makes use of the air space without impacting the floor area. Ensure that the entire structure is level and adjust as necessary. Proper leveling prevents future structural issues and ensures smooth operation of doors and windows. Once joined, the lattice structure should form a circle around the platform’s edge. Check for even spacing between the lattice sections; this consistency is vital for attaching the roof rafters later.

While this does seem significantly longer than a traditional camping tent, it is worth the added space and comfort, especially if your camping trip is longer than a couple of days.

Wooden yurts are what you call a permanent one versus the fabric which is portable. It’s energy-efficient and everyone can gather in the middle since the shape inside the house is also round. 5 of the Best Beard Styles for Oval Faces

beard design for oval face

The fuzzy beard evolved along with the classic beard, short and full-grown. No exact dates are known, but men have flaunted this style for ages. This beard style for the oval face originated from the 19th-century military politician called Giuseppe Garibaldi. The beard hardly exists except the hair on the jawline's edge and sparsely on the chin along the hairline from one side of the face to the other side.

Key Characteristics of Beard Styles for Oval Faces

Avoid overly full and rounded beard shapes, as they can make your face appear rounder. Since an oval face shape is defined by wider cheekbones it is easy to accentuate the cheeks by removing hair from the cheeks and maintaining its outline. The sides are longer and the length of the sides are larger hence by removing the side burns you can get the best and the most attractive look. To give yourself a fuller look you can try leaving some hair on the chin and this will give you a very attractive neat look.

Heavy Stubble Beard

Don’t hesitate to switch up your style to match your evolving fashion preferences and mood. Your beard can be a reflection of your inner self, so embrace the opportunity to experiment and explore your personal style. A corporate beard is an excellent choice for maintaining a professional appearance while enhancing your features. You can characterize a corporate beard by its neat and tidy appearance, making it suitable for business settings and formal occasions.

A Beard For Your Face Shape - Beard Styles for Every Facial Shape

In addition, your jawline will also gain a slight step making it more angular while adding more definition to it. Recognizing these patterns is essential because they significantly influence which beard styles will look best on you. For instance, if you have patchy growth on the cheeks but denser growth around the mouth and chin, styles like the goatee or anchor beard might be more suitable. It's characterized by a floating mustache and a beard without sideburns, creating a distinctive shape. This style is excellent for those who want to experiment with a unique look that stands out.

This beard style for the oval face is characterised by the chin's hair and none on the cheeks. It is a flexible style, so you can vary it a bit as per your preference. This choice provides a relaxed and casual look while showcasing your free spirit.

Classic Shave Foam Sensitive Skin

Heavy stubble requires a bit more maintenance than light scruff, but the effort pays off in the form of a well-defined and attractive appearance. And for each of the face shapes, there are beard styles that suit it perfectly and those that just don’t fit it no matter how you try to grow them out. This beard style is usually worn by men with a square or oval face shape and is considered very masculine. To achieve this, you will need to let your facial hair grow out for several weeks or even months. Choosing the right beard style that suits an oval face is not too difficult.

This will help to create a more balanced look and make the most of your facial features. Start by shaving the hair around the patch so it’s clean and well-defined. Then, use a trimmer to keep the soul patch itself trimmed to the desired length. Make sure to use an all-natural beard oil during your growth stages because it will help reduce dry skin and facial hair.

Use a quality razor or trimmer to carefully shape the hair along the jawline, ensuring it remains even and symmetrical. Keep the hair cleanly shaved on the rest of the face, removing any stray hairs or stubble. Regularly wash and moisturize the area to keep the skin nourished and minimize any irritation. To keep your goatee well-groomed, regular maintenance is essential. Trim the hair on your chin to the desired length, ensuring it remains even and symmetrical.

How to shape a beard for an oval-shaped face?

One thing that can help you decide on the best beard style for your oval face is whether you wish to lengthen or extend your face. If you want your face to become a bit wider, ensure that your beard remains long on all sides. It is also okay to have defined lines when deciding on the best beards for an oval face. You have to partially shave the hair on and around your chin for this style to work. One reason to love the Garibaldi beard is that it only requires less trimming compared to the others.

Use a quality beard trimmer to trim the hair evenly and maintain a consistent length throughout. Additionally, consider using a comb to brush your beard regularly, as this helps to distribute natural oils and prevent tangles. Though oval face is the best face shape for beard and all the styles work well for this face shape, choosing the perfect style requires some more digging.

The classic full beard is a timeless style that suits oval-faced men perfectly. This style involves growing out your facial hair all over your face, including your cheeks, mustache, and chin. The key to rocking these types of summer beard styles is to keep your beard well-maintained and neatly trimmed.

Keep the beard shorter on the sides and longer in the center to create a more angular look. When shaping a beard for an oval face, avoid going too high up on the cheekbones and make sure to keep the beard narrow at the bottom. The Garibaldi beard is essentially a full beard, but with a few more weeks of growth.

Longer than the 0.4mm five o’clock shadow and the designer stubble, but shorter than the boxed beard styles. And basically the only tool you need is a quality stubble trimmer. With no structural or proportional weaknesses, men with oval shaped faces have the luxury to expriment with a wide variety of beard styles. That said, it’s important to respect the face’s proportions and avoid making it appear too round.

It’s a very simple style that combines a full strong mustache with a full face stubble beard at a length of 0.4 to 5mm. Your face length is longer than the cheekbone width as well as a forehead width larger than your jawline. It’s likely that both your chin and jawline aren’t pronounced and have a slight roundness to them. Just make sure to keep it tidy with the right beard grooming tips and products. In reality it is a perfectly groomed beard which looks the right amount of neat and fuzzy at the same time.

The Olsen Twins Complicated History With Fuller House: A Timeline

olsen twins full house

The series followed a hot-headed NCAA basketball coach who is fired from his job and must take a coaching job at an all-girls private high school instead. "We were trying to do some kind of spinoff" for years John Stamos, who serves as a producer, said of the sequel series when he announced it was happening on Jimmy Kimmel Live! John later revealed on Instagram that "every single network and streamer" said no to the idea before Netflix decided to reboot it. And while Candace described that moment as "traumatic," she emphasized how much she loved filming the Full House spinoff as an adult, especially since she sometimes felt self-conscious during the OG series as a teenager.

Will not time travel and can cite multiple TV shows to explain why. She does, however, want to believe that she can sneak references to The X-Files into daily conversation (and author bios). July 28, 2015Netflix chief content officer, Ted Sarandos gave false hope to fans, when — on the TCA (Television Critics Association) press tour, he stated that the Olsens were “teetering” on a decision to join the cast. Although the series was already in production at the time and the first episode had been shot without “Michelle,” Sarandos believed there could be the opportunity for “stunt opportunities” down the line.

Bob Saget seems to have maintained a close relationship with the Olsen twins.

News the cast and crew were excited to receive that final season order because they were close to being canceled altogether. For Netflix and the pacing of the show, five seasons is a perfect run, the source added. The Netflix series had to completely recreate the Tanner house on the Warner Bros. lot, which should've been easy, except all of the original drawings of the set had been discarded. "I can't tell you how many episodes," production designer Jerry Dunn told EW of having to watch hundreds of hours of the original show.

As they became teenagers and then adults, the sisters both realized they wanted something more from their careers than acting could give them. Both have spoken at various times about how they viewed being actresses, and their memories weren't exactly fond. In 2014, the siblings went public with their decision to step away from the camera, explaining that they had other ventures in mind. She adds, "Because we spend so much more of our time not in front of the cameras, building a brand." Ashley chimed in as well, noting, "I always looked at myself, even as a kid, as a business woman."

Early Life

"But during rehearsal, the rig was not set up correctly and there was no safety stop on the end of it." By all accounts, the allegations appear to be just cruel rumors and the child stars have never spoken badly about their on-screen father. Mary-Kate and Ashley also echoed these sentiments in their speech at Saget's memorial service, as Stamos explained on The Howard Stern Show. "We love you. We loved our childhood. We're grateful for you guys," Stamos recalled of the Olsen twins' heartwarming words.

Storyline

Set against a San Francisco, California backdrop, the show starred Bob Saget as iconic sitcom dad Danny Tanner, who was adjusting to life as a single parent. Luckily, he didn't have to go it alone since his brother-in-law, Jesse Katsopolis (John Stamos), and his goofy best friend, Joey Gladstone (David Coulier), were there to share the load as often as they could. Together, they all did their part in raising Danny's three daughters — D.J. (Candace Cameron Bure), Stephanie (Jodie Sweetin), and little Michelle (Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen). While anticipation was extremely high for the sequel series, the reviews were less than kind.

Bob's tragic passing brought the cast together

In season five, Becky gives birth to twin sons, Nicholas ("Nicky") and Alexander ("Alex"). Fortunately, the fashion industry appears to have given the Olsen twins everything that acting couldn't. The Olsens stepped away from acting in the mid-2000s and entered the fashion design industry. They founded their own luxury fashion label in 2006, The Row, based in New York City. They have won several awards from the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA). Open Book is written by Tom Kapinos who is also executive producing with Adam Berstein and Jessica Simpson.

While the world grieves actor and comedian Bob Saget, some people have resurfaced controversial allegations against America’s favorite sitcom dad. In March 2022, Bob Saget's family attorney shared that the police reports shed light on Saget's unexpected death. According to the attorney, Saget's passing was attributed to a fall in his hotel room that resulted in head trauma (via Entertainment Weekly). TODAY.com has reached out to representatives for the Olsen twins and the show's production companies for comment. August 15, 2016Jodie Sweetin told Entertainment Tonight that she and the rest of the cast and crew had “tried everything” to convince the Olsens to at least make a cameo on the new show, but admitted that ultimately they had all “kinda given up” on the prospect.

What happened between Bob Saget and the Olsen twins on “Full House”?

However, following Bob Saget's passing in 2022, Mary-Kate and Ashley made it a point to reconnect with Stamos and the cast. On the "And That's What You Really Missed" podcast, Stamos shared that the Olsens told him any rumors about their discontent on "Full House" were false. "When Bob died, they came back. Oh my god. It was so beautiful," Stamos told InStyle. "They said things to us that meant so much to all of us." December 15, 2019Candace Cameron Bure confirmed to TVLine that the show had not extended an invitation to Mary-Kate and Ashley to appear in the final season, which reportedly wrapped production in November. It was very clear several seasons ago that they did not want to do it,” she said.

Seasons one through five used a longer version of the theme song. Hallmark Channel reruns have used four different cuts of the theme song, including the full version. Full House is an American television sitcom created by Jeff Franklin for ABC. It aired from September 22, 1987 to May 23, 1995, broadcasting eight seasons and 192 episodes. The 1980s brought several truly wonderful sitcoms to the small screen, many of them remaining as staples of pop culture long after their finales hit the airwaves.

"There's a lot of compromise in the entertainment industry," Ashley said. "I am not great at not being able to control the end product," Mary-Kate added. Since leaving acting behind, Mary-Kate and Ashley have proven themselves capable in the business arena. In addition to Dualstar, the twins have also made their presence felt in the fashion industry thanks to their label, The Row. It helped them earn the Womenswear Designer of the Year award from the Council of Fashion Designers of America in 2012 and 2015, and the Accessories Designer of the Year award in 2014.

We've known for quite some time, however, that Michelle Tanner will be absent, given that the Olsen twins declined to take part in the revival. Now, thanks to Fuller House executive producer Bob Boyett, we finally have the real reason why Mary-Kate and Ashley won't be sharing the role of Michelle one more time. The show's theme song, "Everywhere You Look", was performed by Jesse Frederick, who co-wrote the song with writing partner Bennett Salvay and series creator Jeff Franklin.

There’s no word yet on when we can expect to see this John Stamos series on Freevee. Mr. Woodchuck, Joey's chipmunk puppet, returned in the revival, but it wasn't the original prop. "I kept the original Mr. Woodchuck. And then my dog Ranger ate his face," Dave Coulier revealed during a Reddit AMA. And the new version came from Jimmy Fallon, who had it recreated for a reunion sketch in 2014.

Since Full House ended, John Stamos has mostly stuck to TV roles in his long career. In recent years, he has taken on quite a few voice-acting projects. He even fulfilled a long-time fan casting role by voicing Tony Stark/Iron Man in the animated Spidey and his Amazing Friends series. In 2018, Jeff was abruptly let go from the series after the studio received complaints about his behavior in the writer's room and on set, Variety reported at the time. Per the outlet's sources, he'd been accused of being verbally abusive to staffers and making inappropriate statements in the writers' room, including sexually charged comments about his personal relationships and sex life.

"The fact that the producers chose to break them up, and the storylines that followed, were not big crowd-pleasers. That always bothered me," Jeff Franklin, who left the original series after season five, said. "So I looked at this show as an opportunity to let Steve and D.J. get back together someday and have a chance and see what happens." Despite speculation, Elizabeth Olsen, Mary-Kate and Ashley's little sister, was never officially offered the chance to take over the role in a winking guest appearance. "If I did, I'm pretty sure no one on my team heard it," she told E! "I went through the course and at the end, I zip-lined diagonally the length of the living room and then I landed on a platform," Candace explained to costars Jodie Sweetin and Andrea Barber on their How Rude, Tanneritos!

What Happened Between Bob Saget And The Olsen Twins?

olsen twins full house

John Stamos's character was originally named Jesse Cochran; Stamos reportedly wanted his character to better reflect his Greek heritage, so producers decided to change the character's surname to Katsopolis (beginning with season two). Sharing the role of Michelle Tanner on Full House served as the Olsen twins' big break in the entertainment world. To this day they're recognized for the part, although they and their careers took a much different trajectory shortly after their departure. The living room couch, with the checkered love seat, still serves as the room's central piece all these years later. "The set decorator and I were just blown away," Jerry said of finding the original pieces. "They were in good enough condition that we're using them still."

Main cast

Fuller House executive producer Robert L. Boyett broke the sad news in a statement. Olsen started dating French banker Olivier Sarkozy, the half brother of former French president Nicholas Sarkozy, in 2012. The couple became engaged in 2014 and tied the knot the following November. In January of 2008, Olsen made headlines when her close friend, actor Heath Ledger, died of a prescription drug overdose.

Personal Life

"When they started at 7 months old, they didn't even know how to crawl. And in the process of doing the show, they started crawling and started walking," their mom, Kacy Andrews, told EW. By the age of 12, the girls had starred in home videos, feature films, multi-media entertainment and another ABC TV series, Two of a Kind. Under the name Dualstar Entertainment, they produced several straight-to-video movies, a line of musical detective videos entitled The Adventures of Mary-Kate & Ashley, and the hugely successful You're Invited to Mary-Kate and Ashley's party tapes. He would also defend the twins years later when they turned down the chance to reprise the role of Michelle on Netflix's popular Fuller House spinoff. While all the other original main cast members jumped at the chance to reprise their roles after more than 20 years, the Olsens were by then successful fashion designers with no interest in making a return to acting.

Foray into Fashion

Stamos explained that the Olsen twins were 11 months old at the time. He recalled filming a scene in the pilot episode in which he and Dave Coulier, who played Joey Gladstone in the show, had to change baby Michelle, portrayed by the Olsens, while Danny Tanner (Bob Saget) was out. At the time, Stamos admitted that he was "heartbroken" that the famous twins turned down the offer to appear in the spinoff series, according to People. He later told Howard Stern's Sirius XM show that the Olsens were "hesitant" to return to acting after so much time away from the business, but that he fully supported their decision. "They decided not to, which I respect," Stamos said, per E!

Book series

olsen twins full house

Considering they both boast a net worth of roughly $250 million apiece and work in a field they're happily dedicated to, it's safe to say that the Olsen twins' post-Full House life couldn't have gone any better. In 1995, following the end of Full House, the Olsens made their feature film debut in It Takes Two, co-starring Steve Guttenberg and Kirstie Alley. In the same year, they introduced a second video series, You're Invited to Mary-Kate & Ashley's..., which continued to release new entries until 2000. While John Stamos may have lost out on Big Shot, he quickly bounced back with a greenlit series called Open Book that will be coming to the Freevee platform. Open Book is inspired by Jessica Simpson’s memoir of the same name and stars Katlyn Tarver as Sadie Sparrow, a pop star who becomes a mogul. Stamos plays Butch Thorn, a former singer-songwriter with destructive tendencies who becomes attracted to Sadie before learning that she’s the pop star he’ll be writing songs for.

To help get a better understanding of the apparent rift between the Olsen Twins and the rest of the Tanners, however, we thought it would be helpful to piece together a timeline and see where everything went wrong. Stamos speculated that the sisters didn't have a great experience on "Full House" in the first place.

Storyline

"We thank you for making those eight years so beautiful for us. We have such fond memories." As they entered adulthood, the Olsens famously stepped away from acting and entered the designer world. Mary-Kate and Ashley own "The Row," a luxury fashion line that they have dedicated their full attention to in recent years.

February 26, 2016Fuller House premieres on Netflix, sans Olsens. A show insider tells Us that Fuller House characters will mention that Michelle is now living in New York City and working on creating her fashion empire. This is a not-too-subtle reference to the Olsen twins’ real lives, as both reside in the Big Apple, where they head up such fashion lines as The Row and Elizabeth and James. Having his agents make the call was a mistake, because at the time the twins didn't have an acting agent. By the time Stamos finally made contact with Mary-Kate, it was apparently the first time she'd heard about "Fuller House" and the opportunity to appear on it.

Candace and Scott went on a date in real life when they were teens when he asked her to go to the Aladdin premiere with him, whom he did the voice for. While he was only a guest in season one, Scott Weinger was promoted to a series regular in season two. Ultimately got back together in season three—something the writers had wanted to fix since the original series broke them up. Producers initially envisioned the Olsen twins reprising their role as Michelle, but Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, who have since retired from acting but are still uber-famous, declined the opportunity. Despite leaving the acting world after the original series ended in 1995 to work in academia, Andrea Barber had no hesitations about reprising the role of Kimmy Gibbler as one of the new show's three leads.

The following year, the Olsens appeared in an episode of All My Children.[14] In 1997, they appeared once again as guest stars in an episode of Sister Sister. Also, in 1998, the twins returned to series television with another ABC sitcom, Two of a Kind, co-starring Christopher Sieber as their characters' widowed father. The series lasted only one season but aired in reruns on cable for several years afterward. 1998 also saw the release of Billboard Dad, the first of a new string of direct-to-video films starring the Olsens.

The next year, the sisters began appearing together in the Badgley Mischka ad campaign. They also made their foray into the world of high-end fashion by launching a line of their own called The Row in 2006. In 2007, they announced another line of contemporary clothing, Elizabeth and James, which is named after their sister and brother. They are also known for their more affordable lines StyleMint and Olsenboye. The Olsen twins announced their plans to attend New York University in the fall of 2004. Shortly after the news, Olsen checked herself into a rehabilitation facility for the eating disorder, anorexia.

In addition to the talented twins, Full House also starred comedian Bob Saget as patriarch Danny Tanner, and John Stamos as his brother-in-law, Jesse Katspolis. According to Screen Rant, Stamos had a bit of clout with ABC on the heels of his General Hospital fame, and apparently tried to use it to get rid of the Olsen twins early on when they were still babies. Stamos complained that the baby girls cried too much on the set and were difficult to film scenes with, so the Olsens were briefly replaced.

Carnival Legend Itinerary, Current Position, Ship Review

carnival cruise legend reviews

Though the price was reasonable at roughly $100 per person per day, I didn't think the cruise had enough unique amenities and ports of call to make it worth repeating the trip. Carnival Legend offers several restaurants and a couple of innovative dining concepts. The Unicorn Cafe buffet restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, but also serves 24-hour complimentary pizza and ice cream. The full-service Truffles is a 2-level dining room with 3-course menu and wine list. New for Truffles is the experience 'A Taste of Nouveau', where diners can sample dishes that are normally served in the fine-dining Nouveau steakhouse restaurant (formerly called Golden Fleece).

Grand Suite

Some of them have different options for the other eateries, but the menus are the same. Definitely think it's time to change things up a bit. Too many times we saw men coming into the Lido food area without shirts and people without shoes and no one was enforcing the need for shirts and shoes. We even saw people walking the ship in other areas without shoes ~ again not promoting healthy protocols.

Junior Suite

Of course, that price doesn't include gratuities or extras. (deck 3) The Holmes Library & Internet Cafe (17-seat, 24-hour venue) and the Wedding Chapel (30-seat venue) were replaced with a new video arcade The Warehouse. The Carnival ship Legend is of the company's Spirit-class liners, with sisterships the fleetmates Miracle, Pride, Spirit, and also Costa Atlantica and Costa Mediterranea. The vessel was christened by Judith Olivia Dench (Judi Dench) - British actress and author.

The highlight of our vacation was Thanksgiving Day.

Carnival recommended wearing masks indoors on the ship, but they weren't required, and few people wore them. However, dispensers of hand sanitizer were stationed around the boat, and we used them frequently. When I made our cruise reservations in April, Carnival required guests to provide proof of vaccination and a negative COVID-19 test before sailing. We paid just under $3,500 for our five-person, seven-day trip.

Fun for the Adults

So many little stores on this island and lots of people trying to sell their trinkets. We got a van to take us around the island for $10 pp (at firstthey wanted $25pp) and saw everything there was to see. We ran into the ships tour, which took the same route for $40 pp. Our tour took us to a differnt part of the island where their was no begging and into an area where many Americans have moved into. It was off the beach had nice little shops, bars and eateries and was a lot less run down then the dock area. Do venture away from the dock here to see a little more of the island.

Don’t get us wrong — a Carnival Legend Vista Suite stateroom is a lovely room with all the suite fixings. But the thing to see here is truly the view that your balcony affords you. In February-March 2018, Carnival Legend was homeported in Melbourne Australia. In September 2023 Carnival announced Legend ship's homeporting in San Francisco (California USA) planned for 2025.

One of the glass elevators in the lobby area was out the entire cruise. Two in the bank of elevators just outside our cabin were in and out of service the entire time. Whatever you and your partner like to do together, you’ll find something fun for date night aboard this ship, from delicious dinners to live music, spots to just relax, or even shopping. If you book an interior stateroom, expect tight quarters, but enough room for two (comfortably). There were a lot of things to love about this vacation.

There were 2 people that could carry a tune, the others - yikes. We agreed the ship is showing her age and given the "pause" had expected they would have taken that time to do much needed work and upgrades. We cruise because we enjoy cruising and don't need all the new bells & whistles, but the Legend definitely could use some love. As for the cruise itself, we noticed the food portions weren't as large as in the paste and the menu wasn't super exciting.

It's taking over an hour to get through the luggage drop off and parking payment process. Both recent embarkation lines were out the door and to the back of the building even though we arrived during our scheduled timeframe. Head over to the on-board spa for a massage that’ll have you feeling as good as new.

In the summer months, the ship offers Alaskan roundtrip itineraries out of Seattle WA. On repositioning, the ship offers one-way cruises between Hawaii, Australia, and Alaska (Vancouver Canada). The Atlantis/Legend Lounge is the best place for a meet-and-greet with friends and a good cocktail. Follies Show lounge pampers with Las Vegas-style show programs, and Sing-along Piano Bar features karaoke, and live musical performances. The Dream Team Bar is the spot to watch your favorite sports team as it has large-screen TVs so you can catch the action and enjoy your favorite drinks. There is also Satchmo's Club and Billi's Piano Bar.

I was on the 10/12 sailing and had a great time. We flew in early so as not to be rushed by fling in same day. Stayed at the Embassy Suites and enjoyed a huge room with a nice cocktail party that night and a cooked to order breakfast the next morning. Stay away from the smoking rooms though as you can tell smokers have been there. Smell it as soon as the elvator stops on the smoking floors. Wife2B, we ALSO are in an extended balcony on the Verandah deck.

Grand Cayman was nice but we did have rain so we did not make the beache. We did do an island tour, somes shopping then retunres to the ship. Went to Paradise Beach and had great drinks and food. There is no beach entrance fee and you have free use of the chairs and umbrellas . For a $10 fee you can use all of the water sports and snorkeling equipment.

Balcony rooms are more spacious, but do note that there are several different types of balcony staterooms that you could end up with. There’s the standard balcony, but also balcony staterooms with obstructed views, extended balcony staterooms and premium balcony staterooms. If an obstructed view is going to put a damper on your trip, be sure to double and triple-check that that won’t be an issue in your booked cabin. I just got off Legend yesterday and drove 10 hours home. Got home late last night so I haven't had time to gather my thoughts. But I want you to know we had a wonderful cruise.

Dance away the night at the nightclub Medusa's Lair. Unfortunatley there was a storm over Belize so we never got there. Instead we stayed over night in Cozumel so everyone hit Carlos and Charlies and Senor Frogs. Next morning 3 more Carnival ships arrived so the port was crowded. We went back to the Beach (also crowded) and stayed until sailing time.

Try a Canada/New England sailing, they are nice. When we went a few months ago, it was really a long wait for drop off than parking. The carts were out for both your right and left, maybe not enough workers OR it was taking longer to pay and park, or just people ignoring their assigned times. I really don't have the answer, but once we parked, the line wasn't bad. I had a couple minor complaints about food/service  with the seafood at the buffet, but everything else was okay for me.
